I'm a versatile writer. Quick-hit news, deeply reported features, profiles, opinion - I've worked across the board.
I cut my teeth in fashion and art magazines before completing an MA in Magazine Journalism at City in 2019. My first staff role in journalism was at Dazed, where I worked as Social Media Editor while regularly contributing editorial. Some of my proudest early work there included interviewing Zarah Sultana and Nadia Whittome shortly after their election as MPs - two voices who, at the time, carried real hope in what felt like a political hellscape. Getting three art experts to do a blind analysis of Britney Spears’s paintings was also pretty fun.
I went on to become Digital Editor at Huck, commissioning and writing features across culture, politics, and subculture. Collaborating with some of the most exciting writers and photographers working today was the highlight of the role.
Alongside staff positions, I've built a freelance practice that lets me move between subjects - from lighter pop culture pieces to heavily reported work on sensitive and complex topics. Whether I’m interviewing politicians, academics, findoms or reality TV stars, what unifies most of my journalism is a focus on compelling characters and stories that reveal something about how we live now.
